(1898-1936) was a Spanish poet, dramatist, and theatre director best known for his poems addressing religious faith, isolationism, and nature. He was supposedly assassinated for his liberal views by nationalist militia when civil war broke out in Spain.

Some people are just meant to be so fucking annoying they ruin my tights.
Today I dressed like a widow. (But really, I could’ve lost a sibling, a parent, knock on wood.)
People were generally nicer. The lady at the computer shop was polite. An acquaintance I did not wish to acknowledge remained quiet in the jeepney. The waiter at the restaurant kept refilling my bowl of soup. The mosquitoes stayed away after my first kill.
Will I clothe myself in black when the time comes? Will I want loved ones to do the same when my turn is up?
